The Way Home

This one means a little more to me. I want to thank Steph L Broome with the Lady Jeep Warriors East TN/ SWVA for reaching out and asking me to create and donate a commissioned piece to be auctioned off in support of The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue, a cause that is near and dear to my heart. This piece took me five hours with one fine-point Sharpie, and I wanted it to tell a story without using a single word. A dog and a cat sit together at the beginning of a bridge. On the other side is what every rescue animal deserves to find… a home. But look a little closer. There’s two hidden things in this drawing. Can you find them? The original will be framed and auctioned at the 2nd Annual Doug Mancabelli Golf Tournament on September 12 at Cattails at MeadowView Golf Course, benefiting The Bridge Home. After the auction, I’ll also make prints of “The Way Home” available, and a portion of the proceeds from every print sold will go right back to The Bridge Home. Five hours. One Sharpie. And hopefully one drawing that helps a few more animals find the way home. I’d love to hear what you think is hiding… - Mick
