Truth #07 of 100
THE SUNRISE
“Every day is a fresh start. No matter what happened yesterday, today offers another opportunity to move forward, grow, and begin again.”
I’ve always liked sunrises more than sunsets.
Don’t get me wrong, sunsets are beautiful. But a sunset is the end of something. A sunrise is a reminder that no matter how bad yesterday was, life is willing to give you another shot.
I’ve had days I’d rather forget. Days where I made mistakes. Days where things didn’t go according to plan. Days where I felt defeated, exhausted, and ready to throw in the towel.
The beautiful thing is that the sun didn’t ask how my day went.
It came up anyway.
Every morning, without fail, it climbs over the horizon and quietly reminds us of something we often forget.
The story isn’t over.
That’s one of the biggest lessons life has taught me. We spend so much time beating ourselves up over yesterday that we miss the opportunity standing right in front of us today.
You can’t change what happened.
You can’t rewrite the chapter.
You can’t go back and make different choices.
But you can decide what happens next.
The sunrise doesn’t erase the storm that came before it. It simply proves the storm survived the night.
Maybe that’s why I love them so much.
They remind me that hope isn’t a feeling. It’s a promise.
A promise that as long as you’re still here, there is still time to try again, forgive again, love again, dream again, and become the person you’re meant to be.
Every sunrise is life’s way of saying:
“Let’s try this one more time.”
