Truth #01 of 100
THE ROPE
“Sometimes strength isn’t found in the part of the rope that’s thick and easy to see. Sometimes it’s found in that one tiny strand that’s somehow still holding on when everything else has already given way.”
I used to think strength meant never breaking. Just keep pulling. Keep carrying it. Keep showing up. Keep smiling. Keep telling everyone you’re fine even when you feel like you’re coming apart at the seams.
Life taught me something different.
Sometimes strength isn’t found in the part of the rope that’s thick and easy to see. Sometimes it’s found in that one tiny strand that’s somehow still holding on when everything else has already given way.
I’ve had days where I felt stretched so thin I didn’t know how much more I could take. Heart issues. Anxiety. Loss. Surgeries. Disappointment. Plans that didn’t work out. People who left. People who stayed. Seasons that felt like they would never end.
And yet, here I am.
Not because I was the strongest person in the room. Not because I had all the answers. Not because I never struggled.
I’m still here because I refused to let go of that last strand.
Maybe that’s where you are right now. Maybe everyone around you sees a rope that’s falling apart while all you can think about is how tired you are from holding on.
If that’s you, hear me.
You don’t need to be unbreakable.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to be as strong as you were yesterday.
You just need enough strength for one more step. One more day. One more sunrise.
Because sometimes the difference between giving up and making it through is a single strand.
And if you’re reading this…
That strand is still holding.
You’re still here.
